The adjustable straps of the Adjustable Knee Helix give you more versatility than a sleeve – tighter fit for days when your knee might be bothering you; less snug on days when you just want the warmth; straps straight across if you don’t need support for your kneecap; straps curved around in two “C”s if you want the extra support and stabilization because your kneecap tracks incorrectly or “wobbles”.  You can adjust as much as necessary without worrying that this Helix will slide down.  It’s made from the same high-tech material as our other products, ensuring that it will lock to your skin and will stretch and rebound with your body.

The open patella design makes this the product of choice if you want coverage of your entire knee joint without any pressure on your kneecap.  If you have patellofemoral pain syndrome (sometimes known as runner’s knee), pain behind the kneecap, or if your Dr. has advised you to choose a compression product with an opening for the patella, then look no further.  

The Adjustable Knee Helix is recommended for those who need support of their entire knee joint but who do not want a sleeve that they have to pull on. With the Adjustable Knee Helix there is no need to bend down and try to reach your toes.  Simply sit or stand and place the Helix around your knee using the adjustable straps to get the perfect fit and comfort.

This Helix is an excellent choice for those who want support to their entire knee joint but do not need the additional coverage above and below the knee.  Sometimes it’s just your knee – nothing above and nothing below.  It’s perfect for arthritis, old meniscus injuries, new meniscus injuries, minor sprains to the ligaments of your knee joint, and “old, worn-out knees”.

What is the difference in styles?

The Adjustable Knee Helix is recommended for those who need support of the entire knee joint but who do want not coverage over the kneecap, or for those who want support to the entire knee joint but not to the muscles above and below the knee joint.

The Full Knee Helix Open is recommended for those people who are experiencing pain behind the knee cap or who have been told by their Dr that they need a brace with an open patella.  It is the same length as the Full Knee Helix, covering the entire joint plus several inches below and above the knee joint.

The Full Knee Helix is ideal for those who want the simplicity of a compression sleeve that slips on.  It covers the entire knee joint, as well as the tendons and muscles for several inches below and above the knee joint.

The Patella Helix is recommended for Osgood-Schlatter Disease, Patellar Femoral Pain Syndrome (runner’s knee), pain behind the kneecap, or patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee).

The Knee Helix is the helix of choice for those who have a minor meniscus injury or an old meniscus injury, mild arthritis, or patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee).

Proper fit is important

Please measure the circumference of your knee at the center of your kneecap, with your leg straight.  Please do not measure your thigh.  Please do not measure below your kneecap. 

Which size should I order if I am in between sizes?  

In general, leaner athletes prefer the smaller size.  All others prefer the larger size.
