Product Uses

The Full Knee Helix is our most popular knee compression sleeve, because who hasn’t had a bum knee at some point during their athletic career?  The Full Knee Helix (Open) is designed with an opening for the patella, for those who want all of the benefits of the Full Knee Helix but who do not want any pressure on their kneecap.  It is unmatched in its comfort, making it the hands-down choice for those who need to focus on their sport and not on their knee sleeve.

The Full Knee Helix (Open) is ideal for sprains to the ligaments of your knee joint, meniscus issues, and injuries to the tendons around your knee joint.  It helps to control swelling and supports the structures around your knee while they heal.

The reinforced opening lends support to the sides of the kneecap, helping it to track correctly.  For those who have a minor “wobble” or have been told that their kneecap moves slightly to the side when they bend their knee, this product can help to alleviate that issue.

It provides warmth and support, making it a go-to for arthritis sufferers, especially those who also have degeneration of the cartilage behind the kneecap.  Many arthritis sufferers have found that wearing the Full Knee Helix (Open) for 2-3 hours after exercise enables them to have less pain the following day.

What is the difference in styles?

The Full Knee Helix (Open) is recommended for those people who are experiencing pain behind the knee cap or who have been told by their Dr. that they need a brace with an open patella.  It is the same length as the Full Knee Helix, covering the entire joint plus several inches below and above the knee joint.

The Adjustable Knee Helix is recommended for those who need support of the entire knee joint but who do not want coverage over the kneecap, or for those who want support to the entire knee joint but not to the muscles above and below the knee joint.

The Full Knee Helix is ideal for those who want the simplicity of a compression sleeve that slips on.  It covers the entire knee joint, as well as the tendons and muscles for several inches below and above the knee joint.

The Patella Helix is recommended for Osgood-Schlatter Disease, Patellar Femoral Pain Syndrome (runner’s knee), pain behind the kneecap, or patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee).

The Knee Helix is the helix of choice for those who have a minor meniscus injury or an old meniscus injury, mild arthritis, or patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee).

Proper fit is important

Please measure the circumference of your knee at the center of the kneecap, with your leg straight.  Please do not measure your thigh.  Please do not measure below your kneecap.

Which size should I order if I am in between sizes?

In general, leaner athletes prefer the smaller size.  All others prefer the larger size.

THE BEST SUPPORT!

I would not be able to play tennis 4 times a week without this full knee support! I tore my meniscus and have a baker’s cyst that challenges my movement, but with the Body Helix “X” I can play with NO pain and MOVE on the court! Thank you for “YOUR TOTAL SUPPORT!”

It is to right around the top of the knee and very uncomfortable to wear.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the feedback. One of the nice things about our product is that it stays in position. This would allow you to position the Helix such that the top is a little lower and not too tight. If that does not provide the support you are looking for it is likely that your would need one size up.
